We are pleased to announce that after months of dredging in coordination with GCPI, Berth 25 and 26 have now officially reached a depth of 11 meters at low water as confirmed by the attached official letter from Iraq Port Authority (IPA). This is a part of BGT’s on-going dredging project which aims to have 14 m depth for the three berths 25, 26 & 27 as soon as possible. The new depth will allow shipping lines and feeder operators to bring bigger vessels directly to Umm Qasr that will support growth in Iraq’s a trade and economy.
