Officers of Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) recently met with delegates from Hapag Lloyd’s local office to discuss the terminal’s operational capabilities as a modern multipurpose terminal. The meeting also covered the trade dynamics and growth drivers for Iraq, as well as BGT’s key role in the efficient facilitation of external trade. After the meeting, BGT officers accompanied the visitors on a tour of the terminal to showcase the company’s investments that have helped transform the Port of Umm Qasr into a modern, competitive and world-class maritime port.
