Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) has successfully renewed its ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications, passing the global standards of quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems.
The certifications represent BGT’s strong commitment to international best practices and quality management principles, which include a strong customer focus, data-based decision making, leadership commitment, process approach and continuing improvement.
“We are delighted to be granted ISO accreditation once again and strengthen our commitment to global standards with the highest levels of HSSE, business performance and customer satisfaction,” said Romeo Salvador, BGT chief executive officer.
To reinforce the highest levels of safety, BGT has started training sessions on accident investigation and prevention. The sessions are spearheaded by the HSSE department and target supervisors all the way to the top management.
