Summer heat in Iraq reached its peak last August with temperatures reaching as high as 55 degrees Celsius, adding pressure to both Basra Gateway Terminal’s hard-working staff and customers.  Despite the scorching weather, BGT continued to provide clients with first-class customer experience through careful management and heat awareness training for staff.

With compassion and kindness in mind, BGT provided truck drivers with cool drinking water upon entry to and exit from the terminal to ensure they are hydrated.  This simple, yet meaningful gesture proved helpful and was highly appreciated, especially by drivers whose trucks have no air-conditioning.

For BGT, the smallest act of kindness in the fast-paced port environment goes a long way in creating a positive and lasting experience for its valued stakeholders and clientele.
